.::Of PJs and Puzzles {Near}::.

“Good morning, Near-chan…” yawned the sleepy form from the door frame. From the corner of his pearl black eyes Near could see her slender body scratching at her head and sauntering over to his place on the floor--puzzle at hand and pieces scattered about.

One knee of hers came into view as she squatted at his side and leaned closer. There was the kiss. The one she gave him every morning. It was small and simple and only on the side of his head, but a kiss no less.

“You slept well, I hope.” Smiles were evident in her voice as she turned on her heel to move to the kitchen where she’d cook him and herself breakfast. Again, in her routine. No one else at Wammie’s would even try to get up and out of bed at six in the morning, especially during winter when it was so cold in the halls of the large building.

“________.” he called. Something caught his eye, and he just had to ask.

“Yes, Near?”

“Those pajamas…are they new?”

“Ah! Near, you noticed!” the girl twirled in her place when Near actually looked up at her. They could have been counted as pajamas…he supposed…but to him she didn’t see why she didn’t just call them a tank top and underwear.

Both pieces of clothing were dark grey, and the tank top had a pink teddy bear on it. Cute. The whole outfit was quite revealing--not that Near could care enough to stare or be interested or attracted in any way, but he was.

He supposed that she wore it because, again, no one was expected to be up at this time, so no one but Near would see…and if anyone else did see then she’d most likely rant and rave her head off. She was a puzzle alright. One not easily solved.
